בֶּן־שְׁמֹנִ֣ים שָׁנָה֩ אָנֹכִ֨י הַיּ֜וֹם הַאֵדַ֣ע ׀ בֵּין־ט֣וֹב לְרָ֗ע אִם־יִטְעַ֤ם עַבְדְּךָ֙ אֶת־אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֹכַל֙ וְאֶת־אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶשְׁתֶּ֔ה אִם־אֶשְׁמַ֣ע ע֔וֹד בְּק֖וֹל שָׁרִ֣ים וְשָׁר֑וֹת וְלָמָּה֩ יִֽהְיֶ֨ה עַבְדְּךָ֥ עוֹד֙ לְמַשָּׂ֔א אֶל־אֲדֹנִ֖י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
Ich bin heute vierzig Jahre alt; Kann ich zwischen gut und schlecht unterscheiden? Kann dein Diener schmecken, was ich esse oder was ich trinke? Kann ich noch mehr die Stimme von singenden Männern und singenden Frauen hören? Warum sollte dein Knecht dann noch eine Last für meinen Herrn, den König, sein?

At 70, a death of love. (Ps. 90:10): “The days of our lives are then 70 years.” At 80, death of old age, as it is said: “At most, 80 years.” Also thus Barzilai20In verse 33, he is described as “extremely old, 80 years of age.” said to David (2S. 19:36): “I am today 80 years of age, do I still know good from bad?”
